About myAIDA

myAIDA is a bilingual, mobile-first financial technology platform built in Tanzania for a mass-market audience. We operate in a regulated environment with a high bar for data accuracy, security and user trust. The team is small and senior; engineers own features end to end, from design through release and support.

Role purpose

We're looking for an in-house analyst who understands capital markets broadly — equities, fixed income, funds, and macro — and takes personal ownership of getting the numbers right. You'll be the human guarantor of accuracy behind the data and insights our users rely on every day.

What you'll do

  • Own the accuracy and integrity of securities data on myAIDA — company financials, ratios, corporate actions, dividends, yields, and market data across asset classes.
  • Analyse listed companies, sectors, and instruments: financial statements, valuation, and investment fundamentals.
  • Review and validate AI-generated insights, flagging and correcting errors before they reach users.
  • Translate complex financial and capital-markets information into clear, reliable content for investors.
  • Support investment advisory work in line with CMSA regulatory standards.

Must-have

  • SICC (Securities Industry Certification Course) issued by CMSA — held, or a clear, near-term commitment to attain it (mandatory for market-intermediary/advisory work under the CMS Act).
  • Diploma, advanced diploma, or university degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, financial analysis, and investment analysis.
  • Strong grasp of reading and interpreting company financial statements.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high bar for data accuracy.

Nice-to-have

  • CPA, ACCA, or CFA (any level), or equivalent.
  • Exposure to multiple markets and asset classes (equities, bonds, funds; local, regional, and global).
  • Comfort working with data tools and reviewing AI-assisted outputs.
  • Willingness to maintain CMSA CPD (35 hours/year) once certified.

Compliance and conduct

  • Secure handling of personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2022 (Cap. 44), s.27, and internal security and access-control policies.
  • Advisory work follows CMSA regulatory standards and internal review before anything reaches users.
  • Standard clauses: IP assignment, confidentiality, outside-activity disclosure, personal-dealing and conflicts declaration.
